Originally conceived for the needs of the e-bike hire industry, its style must have unisex and universal appeal, with a robust 'chunky' appearance.

The specification was for an easy to ride, easy to mount, step through bike which would suit riders 4'10" (147cm) to 6'2" (188cm) with only (2) frame sizes. This has been achieved by a specially strong seat tube, long immersion depth seat post and multi-adjustable handlebar stem. Also the bike had to be as maintenance free as possible with the Shimano Nexus 8- speed internal hub, easy clean strong frame and Promax 'V' brakes front and Shimano roller brake rear.

The 2.125 'fat' tyres on 26" rims and sprung saddle, together with high quality suspension forks, offers maximum ride comfort.

Battery depreciation costs have been minimised by use of the 10AH LiFePO4 battery, it is warranted for 2 years but could have 5 years of life, replacement cost is reasonable.

Integral Spanninga LED lighting front and rear ensure the bike can see and be seen. The simple to use PAS controller offers low, medium and high power assistances with LED battery indicator and lighting switch, a throttle is a no cost option.

The bike is currently under EN15194 testing, all components have been specially selected to be well proven and robust in usage, the bike meets the power, operation and speed restrictions to allow legal unlimited riding on bridleways and cycle paths.

Strong and substantial pannier bags are included in the standard cost, together with a comprehensive manual and toolkit.

Available in black, white and silver, there is a colour way to suit all tastes and ages, sexes and environments. 'Safari' is currently almost a unique bike which should answer the requirements of so many - it is the result of all the feedback and knowledge collated by the Kudos design team over the last year.
